As you can probably tell, this blog is encouraging young women to be bold But, what does bold mean, and how can I be bold in a way that can please the Lord? In Philemon 1:8, it says “I have great boldness in Christ,”, so now we know where our boldness should come from; Christ! Honestly, I can’t think of a better place to gain boldness, confidence, courage, and bravery. Going off on a small rabbit trail, I want to talk about personality types. My family has been into the Myer Briggs typing for 2-3 years, and awhile back, I asked my mother what type God probably is. She gave an explanation, and basically said that he has mastered every letter, and has all good traits and no bad traits. Genesis 1:27 says “So God created mankind in his own image…”, so we were made to reflect him! We were made to bring the good Godly traits from ourselves and put them to use! So this brings us back to the word bold. Now we have where we should gain our boldness from, why we should it, but now I ask the question “How do we use it?” God is never going to use two people in the exact same way to make a difference in the world for the better. He made us all different so that he could use us in all of the spectacular ways that he can. To find out what he personally wants you to do, you always have to be on guard to see when he is speaking to you. During the 2018 Simulcast with Priscilla Shirer, she was constantly reminding the viewers to be looking to see God's hand through everyday things, and see what he is trying to lead you to. Another way to try and hear God’s voice is through constant prayer. As Priscilla also says, “Be bold in your prayers.” When you have discovered what God has trying to be leading you to, make sure it is a Godly calling, and whatever it is, BE BOLD IN DOING IT!!! If he is asking you to call out a preacher of false gospel, be bold and call them out! But, sometimes (most times) God is calling us to do smaller things, that at the moment may seem small and unneeded, but will help you in the long-run and contribute to God's plan for your life. Maybe he is trying to tell you to make a change is your life. Don’t slowly start stopping, make the bold choice and stop immediately! Now that you know how to be bold in a different way then most of the world perceives boldness, read theses definitions from different sources with a Christ-like perspective. Google dictionary's definition: (of a person, action, or idea) showing an ability to take risks; confident and courageous. (The synonym this definition uses is confident. This reminds me of Hebrews 10:19, when Paul says we are going to be confident, after every awful thing we have done, while standing before the Lord. Why? Because of the blood Jesus shed for us. Use this as another reason to be bold.) Merriam Webster's definition: fearless before danger (I like the word Fearless. It means, of course, to go on and about without any fear! We can live without fear if we accept the fact that we’ve got Christ, and Christ has our back!) Dictionary.com’s definition: not hesitating or fearful in the face of actual or possible danger or rebuff; courageous and daring. (Being bold means not being hesitant! If you see an opportunity to glorify God, jump on it without a second thought!) In everything we are called to do, be bold for the better of Christ! ~Chloe Corey~

Happiness God is Happiness. Through his son, and by the power of his love and grace we are showered upon with this Happiness. A Happiness that is defined by the love of God, who is everlasting and never ending. It is the strong and barely controllable emotion of enjoyment as we partake in the perfect blessings of God. It is the freedom we have through the life death, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who is the son of God and the cornerstone of all Happiness. Without Christ there is no happiness, without him we are dead in our sin. But, because he longed for us to have happiness in him, we are no longer dead in our trespasses, and transgressions, but made alive in his goodness. This gift of life, freely giving to us through Christ, frees us to partake in the eternity of heaven, under the light of all Happiness. So how then do we know that we have truly found happiness? “Happiness is found in the complete acknowledgement that we were dead in our sins, and are made alive in the perfect sacrifice of our father, who gave up his only son. This true and genuine Happiness is found in the power, grace, and love of God our father(and Jesus answered, “I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”). ~Mairyn Corey~ |
